Feature Entrance Doors

Timber doors are great for creating a welcoming effect in a home, they are also ideal for creating a unique look in your home thanks to the limitless range of styles, glass options and frame configurations.

We will work with you to create the perfect feature entrance to your property taking into account the style you’re looking to achieve, the amount of light you would like to have to enter the property along with making sure the ironmongery adds the finishing choices you wish to achieve.

Our most common feature entrance door is a boarded door with a fixed lights unit at the top of the door.

Panelled Doors

Doors can be panelled with a combination of glass and solid panels in a variety of configurations.

Panelled doors are a popular choice for more modern home designs

Boarded Doors

Our boarded doors are extremely popular and we manufacture in a traditional and also contemporary style.  With all of our products we can adapt the design to meet your requirements, but most of our customers tend to opt for a glazed unit to be incorporated into the boarded door – sometimes this is a small glazed unit and sometimes this is much larger filling the top proportion of the door enabling maximum light to flood into the property.  With our contemporary boarded doors we find that customers like to go for wider boards running in an horizontal direction.  Sidelights are also a popular addition where properties have the space to accommodate this in the door opening.

Georgian Design Doors

Perfect for a period property, Georgian Bar windows can be combined with a boarded or panelled base for a traditional look.

Stable Doors

A stable door is a door divided horizontally. The multi-functional stable doors allow you to open two sections of the door independently from one another, as well as opening as a whole. Due to the versatile opening arrangement, you can keep children and pets safe whilst still ventilating the home.

Stable doors provide a charming entrance to the home and style make them ideal for cottages, terraces and older properties with character. A stable door is our most popular design choice for backdoors on properties.

Bi-Folding Doors

Are a beautiful addition to a property, adding a touch of class and style whilst being incredibly space saving. With space at such a premium what better way of separating rooms or the inside from the outside with beautiful, hardwood bi-folding doors. Our bi-fold doors can come in a variety of arrangements with multiple door leafs and sliding configurations. We can provide a complete folding door set up to 3m in height and up to 15m in width (3000mm x 15000mm) allowing you to separate rooms with ease, or to separate the garden from the rear of the house.

French Doors

A double door set in which the doors can open in or out with either door designed to open first. Very popular as a feature doorway on the property, and where space allows French Doors are often combined with a sidelight allowing maximum light to flood into the property and adds an additional feature too.

Internal Doors & Garage Doors

Whether you are looking for oak interior doors, glazed doors or something in between, Lymewood Architectural Joinery will have a design to suit your requirements. If you want an inside door that has a rustic, perhaps cottage-feel then you will probably want to choose a door that is knotty and has a deep grain. Rustic doors are typically not painted, or stains may be applied to enhance their natural colouring. If you are looking for a door that is more modern, then you might choose an option with a softer grain, or comes with a less- traditional colour.

Lymewood also manufactures garage doors to the highest standards with modern, smooth and safe operating mechanisms all complying with the latest standards in saftey and offering the best in security. Choose from standard or bespoke designs and standard or made to order sizes for timber garage doors in various operating mechanisms to suit all shapes and sizes of openings. Ranges of unique matching timber front entrance doors and side doors available designed and built in the same factory for the total coordination of finish, style and colour. Electrics can be added to the garage door operation.

Bespoke Porches & Canopies

Lymewood Architectural Joinery also manufactures and installs porches and canopies to provide an additional feature for properties.  Porches and canopies can be spray finished in a colour of your choice and glazing / tiles can be incorporated too.
